Picture It Clearly - Founder
Matthew Picozzi began his culinary interests at a very young age. Lucky enough to spend time with his great aunts Philomena and Nunzia, his days were filled with gardening in the morning with Nunzia, then cooking delicious meals in the afternoon with Philomena. These treasured experiences had a great impact on Matthew, as did the many other early culinary influences including Sunday meals prepared by his mother Teresa, and grandmother Angela. While cooking was always a passion for Matthew, it was not until he was in his 30’s that he decided to formally further his knowledge in the art.
Formal culinary experiences include a degree in Chef Training from The Restaurant School in Philadelphia, PA. Apprentice under Chef Jon Atkins and his wife Monique (featured in the book Women of Taste) at their award winning restaurant “Sign of the Sorrel Horse” in Doyestown, PA. Chiang Mai Cooking School, Thailand. Culinary travels to Italy, France, Spain, Bermuda, Jamaica, Mexico, Panama, Costa Rica, Germany, Czech Republic, The Netherlands, Thailand, and the United States. The most rewarding and challenging job has been "Head Chef" to his family of five very picky eaters.
It has always been Matthew’s goal to teach, as he was raised in a family where education was in everyone’s genes. Picture It Clearly – Cooking is the realization of so many passions for Matthew: food, cooking, art, teaching, and entertaining.
